MIMI–No Profit was founded in 2010, with the aim of training gastroenterologists, providing scholarships for young newly specialized doctors, contributing to scientific research activities in gastroenterology and hepatology, and carrying out awareness-raising campaigns on various topics.

MIMI aims to carry out training activities for gastroenterologists through the organization of national and international interactive events, particularly addressed to young newly specialized doctors or doctors in training.

Another goal of the foundation is to provide scholarships aimed at supporting the integration of young gastroenterologists into the workforce or enabling them to take part in training events of high scientific relevance.

MIMI is committed to promoting awareness-raising campaigns on the prevention of liver diseases and of the digestive system in general, on colorectal cancer screening, on the Mediterranean diet and healthy lifestyles, and on fostering a culture of organ donation; all of this also achieved by organizing meetings with secondary school students.
